"My most recent project was an antique cream-barrel label from the Sleepy Eye Mills that were located in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She utilized a double matting of blue and off-white to enhance those two colors of the label. Since the label is very old, I did not want it to be dry mounted before framing. Barbara Ann and her associates cleverly and inconspicuously solved that problem. I also wanted to be able to remove the label later, if so desired, without harming it or the frame. Framing Concepts came up with a removable back, and once again, problem solved."

"This watercolor is of Haystack Rock, one of the world's largest sea monoliths, which is located near Cannon Beach, Oregon. The picture has been in my husband's family for decades, as they have very close ties to the area. An ancestor founded Portland and later family members built a vacation home in Cannon Beach, about 70 miles away. My husband spent many happy summers visiting the seaside home. Haystack Rock isn't far away, and on especially fortunate days, you can look down from the cliff to find mother whales and their calves enjoying all that beautiful part of the Pacific has to offer. "

This is an original painting done by a Thailand Elephant from an Elephant Refuge Camp. The elephants were formerly used to haul trees, and now are taught to paint amazing pictures like this one. This program improves the welfare of domesticated elephants by facilitating appropriate standards of training, care, food, and habitat.

When I accidentally dropped it last year I noticed a date written on the inside and it just so happens it was taken at the first Dead show I had ever been to (1993). We've also had several pieces I collected during my extensive international travel (about 20-25 countries a year) framed and are totally pleased. My recent two pieces from Vietnam are delicate scenes of two girls on bicycles with their traditional Vietnamese hats riding away in the sunset and the other is a Vietnamese working in a rice field. These are made with small pieces of twisted, folded, and otherwise hand conformed paper strips. I just picked them up this morning and Framing Concepts took care to keep the 3-D pieces back from the glass to keep them from distorting in any way."
