"This watercolor was given to my parents as a wedding gift in 1943. My grandfather was a friend of artist Emil Armin, who worked in Chicago and Chesterton. A Day With Jerry

"A friend and former IU football player (1965-1969) was recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). A gathering was held to celebrate his friendship to many people. A replica of his game jersey, autographed by everyone in attendance, was presented to him as a small token of our friendship. "

-Paul Sur-
 Barb Mort

"When my son-in-law was younger, he sent a drawing of a 'galactic' character to Ralph McQuarrie, who was an illustrator for Lucas films, working on Star Wars at the time. Mr. McQuarrie wrote him a very nice encouraging letter. Recently, while my daughter & I were cleaning up the attic, we came across it, and I said 'I know just the place to get it framed!' It was exactly what I wanted, but didn't know it."

-Barb Mort-

 Nancy Spencer

"I bought this cool little lithograph from an art gallery along the Seine for 5 Euros when I was in Paris. It reminded me of something so French. I thought I would just get a small frame and hang it in my bathroom. However, with the help of Pats very creative eye, I ended up with a fabulous piece of art. Now I have to find a new place for it, where I can show it off!"

-Nancy Spencer-

 Tim Brandt

"I am a long time hockey fan. First game was a Hawks game in the mid 70's at the old stadium. I found an old 1960's wool sweater while in Canada visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame a couple of years ago. Over the past 6 months, I have managed to meet Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita and Tony Espisito, and got them to sign the sweater. We all remembered them playing with this 'old school' sweater and shared some laughs. A great moment shared by all."

 Century Family   Century Grandparents

"It all started with a bracelet given to me, as a toddler, by my mother's younger brother. The bracelet is inscribed with my name, his name, and 'China, Burma, India' - the countries he was stationed in during WWII. He was killed in 1944 at the age of 28. That inspired 'the project' of going through old photos discovered in a box when my mother moved to a retirement community. One thing led to another, and the rest is history."

Although the artist and I shared not a single word of common language, his exciting, colorful oil of a Beijing opera performer spoke to me. We 'negotiated' price by calculator, and he motioned for me to point to a map...so he would know where in the world his painting would speak to others."
